Lessons from Elisheba on how to know when to walk away from an opportunity

Lessons from Elisheba on how to know when to walk away from an opportunity

So last week, we talked about Moses’ sister-in-law (Elisheba) and the lessons she teaches us on why it’s important to know that God is our oath as we pursue our God given visions.

Today, we’ll be digging a little deeper in talking about:

  1. How to know when to walk away from an opportunity

  2. Why knowing God is your oath will help you in your decision making-

all of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from Rebekah on How to not miss God's blessings (part 2)

Lessons from Rebekah on How to not miss God's blessings (part 2)

So last week, we began talking about 5 things that Sarah teaches us about how to ensure that we don’t miss God’s blessings. Remember that? If not, you can get all caught up here.

This week we will be talking about her daughter-in-law (Rebekah) and the 4 extra things that the events of her life can teach us on this topic, such as:

  1. Trusting God to prepare the way

  2. Being aware of the company that you keep

  3. Developing purposeful habits

  4. Saying “yes” to opportunities

All of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from Sarah on How not to Miss God's Blessings

Lessons from Sarah on How not to Miss God's Blessings

So, one of my favourite contemporary gospel songs from back in the day is “Go Get It” by Mary Mary. Not only is it sure to get you dancing, the lyrics are sooo positive! The chorus alone, which encourages us to go for it and “go get [our] blessing,” is and always will be enough to hype me up when it comes to chasing my dreams!

If you’ve been wondering how exactly you can go about getting your blessings (goals and dreams) and making them a reality, then stay tuned! The events of Sarah life demonstrates the answer in these 5 simple steps:

  1. Decide God is faithful

  2. Know that His word will not return to Him void

  3. Mix God’s word with faith

  4. Know that you must do your part to attain the promise (God’s way!)

  5. Practice patience and consistency (until God brings it to pass)

All of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from Sarah on how to manifest God's promises

Lessons from Sarah on how to manifest God's promises

If your upbringing was anything like mine, lovely, you probably grew up singing the old and well-known hymn “Standing on the Promises of God” (and still do!)

It’s a phrase that we hear a lot even outside of the song, right?

“I’m standing on God’s promises”

“Having done all to stand, continue to stand”

But how do we go from the standing (trusting and believing that it will come to pass) phase to the manifesting (living the dream) phase? In other words, how do we do like Sarah eventually did and give birth to our God-given promise(s)/vision?

Well, the answer lies in the following 3 words and phrases:

  1. Delay is not the same as denial (so you must know what to do during your waiting period)

  2. Your mistakes do not negate your promise

  3. Faith

all of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from Sarah on how God reveals Himself to us

Lessons from Sarah on how God reveals Himself to us

Within Christian circles, we hear a lot about “letting God lead us,” “waiting for His direction” and “being led by the Holy Spirit” but, in the words of Brother Kanye-

“How, Sway?”

If you, like Kanye West, have ever wondered the same thing- as in:

  • How does God reveal Himself to us?

  • What should I be looking out for?

our girl (and spiritual mother), Sarah, has us covered once again- all of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

I don't want to flog a dead horse but there are just a few more life lessons that we can glean from these 10 amazing ladies that I'd really like to share with you, lovely. 5 to be exact! Including:

  • How to wait on God (hint! This is not a passive process!)

  • And much more- all of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below!

Lessons from Esther on the Positive Correlation between Existential Questioning and Pupose

Lessons from Esther on the Positive Correlation between Existential Questioning and Pupose

In the last few weeks, I've been talking a lot about purpose in terms of:

#1 What it is

("The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists").

#2 The common misconceptions associated with it and how to avoid them

Misconceptions such as:

  • The road to purpose being linear or 1-dimensional
  • Purpose always being about following your passions or pursuing what you love
  • The idea that you can come into purpose by yourself or without mentorship

(If you missed that, you can catch up here).

In doing all of that I've been laying the foundation for all of the theory and (Christian) theology surrounding purpose but, I'm sure you're absolutely itching to know-

"How does all this talk of purpose apply to my everyday life?!"

Okay, okay...I hear you!

Let me explain....
