Lessons from 3 Biblical women on How to Abide in God

Lessons from 3 Biblical women on How to Abide in God

Last week, while talking about what The Woman with the Issue of Blood teaches us about how to live by faith, I mentioned that one of the things that she demonstrates about living a life of faith is that it requires steadfastness. I mean the fact that she waited 12 years to be healed and never gave up hope says it all, right?

Right!

I then went on to say that this whole concept of remaining steadfast reminded me of John 15:7, a scripture that I had literally been studying obsessively recently, which says:

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you"

But- because I had other points to get through- I couldn't break this scripture all the way down the way I wanted to; so I promised to do it later.

Well, lovely, this week I did!

And not only did I talk about 3 different strategies regarding how to abide in God, I also talked about not 1; not 2 but 3 different female Biblical examples of this. Namely:

  1. The Woman with the Issue of Blood

  2. Sarah

  3. Anna

All of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from The Woman with the Issue of Blood on How to Live by Faith

Lessons from The Woman with the Issue of Blood on How to Live by Faith

In the last few weeks I have been drawing loads of inspiration from our spiritual mother- The Woman with the Issue of Blood. For example, I've uncovered what she teaches us about:

  1. The 2 ways in which we can subconsciously; inadvertently sabotage our own prayers.

  2. How our tests are actually our testimonies.

  3. The importance and use of affirmations.

Today we are going to discuss:

  • How she was a living testimony of what it means to live a life of faith

  • The 5 steps that we can take from her example and incorporate into our lives in order to do the same

All of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.

Lessons from the Woman with the Issue of Blood on Biblical Affirmations

Last week, I talked about how the story of The Woman with the Issue of Blood has hidden gems about the 2 ways in which we can subconsciously; inadvertently sabotage our own prayers.

The week before that, I talked about what The Woman with the Issue of Blood has to teach us about how our tests are actually our testimonies.

Continuing along this route of discussing what her story has to teach us about the power of our testimonies, today I am going to be talking about what The Woman with the Issue of Blood has to teach us about the importance and use of affirmations.

Yes, I know!

In some Christian circles, the word "affirmation" can come across as taboo or having affiliations with the new age/occult- but:

  1. The Bible shares on numerous occassions about the power of our words (and it's ability to influence our lives for good or bad). As such, we need to know:

  2. How to write Biblical affirmations

  3. How to use them (in 3 simple ways)

Lessons from The Woman with the Issue of Blood on how your test is your testimony

Lessons from The Woman with the Issue of Blood on how your test is your testimony

When I did my Stuck to Savvy challenge live a few weeks ago, I did a lot of talking about The Woman with the Issue of Blood because- having had a gynecological issue that caused her to bleed for 12 years before Jesus healed her- she is a prime example of somebody who was "stuck".

On continuing to reflect upon her story, though, I realised that the events of her life don't just demonstrate what is means to be stuck and then set free- she also demonstrates that our adversities are actually here to serve us. In fact, our test is our testimony is 3 main ways- all of which I shared on my Facebook page this week via the (live) video below.
