Lessons from Jochebed on how to faith it til you make

A week or so ago, I shared the post below:

A few weeks ago I did a blog post about 5 women who were significant to Moses' early life. Link in bio if you missed that, lovely. . . In the last few days, I've been thinking about his mother, Jochebed, in more detail. She got pregnant with a son during a time when his life was considered a crime. Despite this, she fought to keep him alive and the rest, as they say, is history. . . Likewise, being pregnant with purpose as modern women can be just as inconvenient, crazy and even risky. As such, we can be tempted to: 📌Let it die 📌Give up 📌Procrastinate until the "right time" 📌Lay low and so on . . Here's the problem with that, lovely. Although there was so much controversy surrounding Moses birth, Jochebed never took that as a sign that his conception or birth was a mistake. In fact, we know now with hindsight that all the obstacles that arose around this time was precisely because the opposite was true. Why, then, are we so unable to reverse engineer this and apply it to ourselves? . . Life happens! Tragedy strikes, we lose people, we stumble, things don't always come together as quickly as we want them to, we don't always feel supported, worthy and so on. But that doesn't mean that you're not supposed to become the woman that you envision- the woman of God that He ordained you to be. . . This is why faith is so important. It is the "substance of things hoped for [and] evidence of things unseen" (Hebrews 11:1) because looking at our lives with our natural eyes doesn't always cut it. So until you see on the outside what God placed inside you, lovely, do me a favour? Faith it til you make it ♥️
