Why your "humility" is a trauma response

Your tendency to shrink yourself is not a sign of humility, it’s a trauma response

It’s nothing to do with being humble and everything to do with your fear of outshining others. But it makes complete sense that this would be the case

I mean, think about it…

Growing up, you were told you were too much if you shone too brightly

You were conditioned to dim your light to protect yourself from ridicule or “evil eye(s)”

The issue?

Keeping others comfortable by shrinking yourself is also keeping you stuck because people don’t flock to businesses if they don’t know that they exist. So, every day that you spend waiting for clients or customers to come to you instead of putting yourself out there is a day that that you miss out on creating more impact, helping more people and ultimately making more money

If you want to rise above the sea of other experts in your oversaturated niche, you’ll need to attract more attention to you and your brand by becoming more visible- and that all starts with positioning
