When I first messaged Tiwa King in 2018, it was because I wanted her to be on the vodcast that I was hosting at the time
Which allowed me to interview amazing women like Stacii Jae Johnson, Tabitha Brown and more
This was after I had been blown away by her rendition of "Glory" while sitting in the audience of TEDx Peckham that Summer

The result? She ghosted me...or so I thought... because I didn't hear back from her for another 2 years!
I made the mistake of DMing her on Facebook messenger rather than emailing, so she didn't see my message
Fast forward to now and the interview that we eventually did has birthed many beautiful things, such as:

We’ve literally been locked in since that first conversation- to the point that she was the first person that I told about Media Magic when I first got the idea to host retreats for women in business who want to go from stumped to savvy about PR while in the lap of luxury
2) Tiwa’s PR journey
I had the privilege of supporting Tiwa with her branding, messaging and media bio in the initial stages of her visibility journey. When I compare these outcomes to how our friendship began, I think our story is a clear demonstration of the importance of failing forward in order to succeed
