How to build a brand community with PR

When I first started out in the online space in 2016 it was as a blogger

About a year into my journey, I became frustrated with the fact that, although I was working so hard on my content, it often felt like I was speaking into the void

I knew PR would help me attract a community of people who cared what I had to say but I had no idea how to get started. Fast forward and now I am an award winning blogger, international speaker and freelance writer who has not only been able to monetise my gift but get featured on platforms such as Thrive Global, The TEDx blog, HuffPost, Bustle, Mic, Addicted2Success, Black Ballad and more

The best part of all of this, though, is how appearing on these platforms has allowed me to grow and cultivate an engaged community of people who not only care what I have to say, they help me develop content and offers

For example, when I was developing Media Magic (my luxury retreat for women in business who want to go from stumped to savvy about how to get PR) my community (i.e. you) helped me to finalise the concept and turn it into what it is today

Most recently, you helped me:

  • Name the new thing I’m developing for business women, experts, coaches and authors who are currently where I was (wanting to learn how to do PR but not knowing where to start)

  • Decide whether or not to share the BTS of making it a reality
