 I'm really excited that you've decided to come on as one of my copywriters!

As you know, I run a done-for-you PR agency and a lot of my clients tend to want the type of PR that puts them on well-known blogging platforms and also podcasts. So a lot of the time, the type of work that I would throw your way would be:

#1 Copywriting

I always do consultations with my clients before sending my copywriters anything. These consultations are recorded and also transcribed so that when I ask you to write content on their behalf, you’ll be able to locate the content easily then copy and paste as needed in order to write in their words.

Pieces of content that I could ask you to write include:

  • Lead magnets

  • Media one-sheets

  • Email nurture sequences

  • Articles

  • Pitches (for articles and podcasts)

 #2 Copyediting

Sometimes my clients opt to write some of the content mentioned above themselves. In those instances, they would just want someone in our team to have a look over it. As such,  I would pass it over to you to edit as appropriate- whether it's to restructure it so it makes more sense or change the wording so it reads/sounds better.

 The process

Everything that I send you would always have a brief. These will typically be sent via email and/or DM. Briefs include:

  • An outline of the task

  • Any resources you’ll need to do it successfully (e.g. a video and transcript of the client’s consultation, as mentioned above. This could also include their media one-sheet, media kit, website and so on)

  • Relevant training videos and templates so that you know exactly what to do to get these tasks done successfully. These are stored in a Google Document suite that I will give you access to as needed.

 We would then basically come to a mutual conclusion about when you could realistically have the item fulfilled unless it’s an emergency and there needs to be a quick turnaround date (this rarely happens). I will trust you to stick to the agreed upon parameters and timeframes.

 Once the copyediting/writing task has been completed, you will send it back to me for approval. I might come back with one or two changes. Once completely happy, I will ask you to invoice me via Paypal and you will do so based on your hourly rate ($20) x how long it takes you to complete the task. I will then pay you.
